The Pan IIM Alumni Singapore (PIIMA) are partnering with the Swasth Digital Health Foundation https://www.swasth.app/home and United Way Bengaluru https://www.uwbengaluru.org/ to “Breathe Life into India”
As the name suggests, we want to do our part to help save lives. The “Breathe Life into India” campaign was launched in Singapore on 1 May with the Singapore Red Cross, and we are happy to report that donations from individuals and organizations have crossed SGD2.5MM or approx. Rs 15cr.
This new partnership with Swasth Digital Health Foundation, and United Way Bengaluru will not only broaden our last mile footprint, but also enable donors to contribute in INR, and USD to avail tax benefits.
The Swasth alliance is undertaking the ‘Oxygen for India’ initiative with ACT Grants, which focuses on procuring and distributing oxygen concentrators to areas in need. To learn more about this click here Swasth – ACT Grants Oxygen programme
The PIIMA #BreatheLife team has been focused not just on fund raising, but the more difficult challenge of procuring quality supply of oxygen concentrators, cylinders and other essential equipment. They have leveraged their vast networks and management skills to add value where its most needed to ensure the funds are put to work where needed with urgency.
With the funding already in place we have Ordered 2000 concentrators with 500 in the pipeline ;Ordered 6000 oxygen cylinders with 5000 in pipeline ;8 PSAs with 20 –30 in the pipeline
We have been making excellent progress thanks to the generosity of our donors – and have identified supply worth close to Rs 30 cr or SGD5MM. We also aim to enable an additional Rs 90 cr or SGD 15MM of supply for funds raised by other organizations needing help to procure quality and fast supply.
Each concentrator costs about Rs 60,000 and can save up to 20 lives in 100 days. So, we truly have the ability to save thousands of lives. The faster we get funding, the higher the confidence for our partners and us in locking supplies. We trust you will be generous with your pledges and contributions. Sponsoring 5 concentrators is about Rs 3 lakhs, sponsoring 2 is about Rs 1.2 lakhs, and 10 is about Rs 6 lakhs.
And, with the expertise and commitment of trusted partners like Swasth Digital Health foundation, and United Way Bengaluru we are confident the supplies will reach the most urgent destinations to save lives.
