Delivered best in class performance handling portfolios across multiple asset classes, investing across countries in developed and emerging markets, pricing in differential risk premiums to deliver consistent returns. The Council comprises Life Members resident in Singapore who have made significant contributions to our community over the years. Office Bearers
The Office Bearers form the executive leadership of IIM Alumni Singapore, elected by our members to guide the association’s strategic direction and day-to-day operations. These dedicated individuals bring diverse professional experiences and a shared commitment to strengthening our community. Serving two-year terms, they work collaboratively to develop initiatives that create value for our members while advancing the organization’s mission to build meaningful connections between Singapore and India.
Executive Committee (ExCo)
The Executive Committee brings together the elected Office Bearers and representatives nominated by individual IIM chapters, creating a governance body that reflects the diverse perspectives across our community. This dynamic team oversees the association’s activities, approves new initiatives, and ensures proper financial management. Through regular meetings and collaborative decision-making, the ExCo balances strategic vision with practical implementation, ensuring that IIM Alumni Singapore remains responsive to member needs while pursuing its broader goals.
A 20-Year Journey
Since the 1990s, IIM alumni have been well-represented in Singapore. The Association began as an informal networking dinner in 2005, with current President Tharman Shanmugaratnam as the Guest of Honour, and 250+ participants. Now 3,000+ members strong, the organization promotes professional development, meaningful collaboration, and cultural exchange between India and Singapore.

The IITs and the IIMs are the top institutions in India and securing a place in them is comparable to getting into the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Stanford University or Harvard University. If I can get such a pool to come here and work here, it is a tremendous plus for us. — May 2024
